The Travel Rats: Our Home
We'd like to give you a peek into our 700-sq ft apartment. Our building was built in the 30s, it has original (not in great shape) windows, walls and ceilings. When we aren't traveling, this is where we are. Throughout our apartment, you'll find travel everywhere, whether it's other currencies, maps, globes, souvenirs, past airline tickets, we like to keep travel front of mind.
This little corner is illuminated by pieces from Amsterdam that hold tea light candles. You can also find a bobblehead of Austin and a Frida Kahlo that was gifted to me by a friend.
I purchased these eucalyptus candles on the windowsill because they remind me of our time in Thailand, the smell is so soothing and calming.
We try to keep our walls updated with photos of our travel and some that we really just love. Check out the Eiffel Tower right above our TV. Can you find the nesting dolls from our trip to Dubai?
Fun fact: The A light stands forAustin and Amanda :] We couldn't find one big rug that we liked so on our floor we have two of the exact same rugs.
We decided to split our living room into two areas, a living room, and a small dining area. This dining table functions as a video space as well. We knew we needed to have a table when we entertain company but it doesn't happen so often that we need an entire room to be dedicated to it.

Making space in a small kitchen means using the walls. Ikea has great storage solutions.
When we eloped in Thailand, we wore traditional Thai Flower lays. We found mini clay versions of them right before we left and we hung them on our bedsides. You can also see the places we've been on the map above our bed, we marked each place with gold star pins.
Austin and I have very different styles of pillows that we enjoy. His pillow looks like it's been beaten to a pulp and mine still has it shape.
I hope you enjoyed this inside look at our home! We'll try to keep this updated since we still don't have a good photo of our office.
